Seriously?
Is this what they want to go with?
After five years of absolutely
NOTHING for our fellow citizens who need our help most?
Please note: 'The BC Fact Check' Twittmachine feed bills itself as "Official Government Caucus Research feed for news, headlines, and information that goes beyond the front page"...If you go there and read how they are spinning this you will be absolutely disgusted.

BC Fact Check twits tweet, “Currently 45,000 #PWD receive no transportation support at all. Changes increase equity and fairness in transportation support. #bcpoli”
So. The existing program provided disability benefits to persons with disabilities, plus an opportunity for those that lived in areas served by BC Transit or Translink to purchase an annual transit pass for $45.
The new program provides disability benefits to persons with disabilities, plus an opportunity for those that live in areas served by BC Transit or Translink to purchase an annual transit pass for $624.
No doubt treating all disabled persons as if they live in areas with no transit services establishes equity. So would giving them all no disability benefits whatever. Equity is a disingenuous red herring. A reasonable attempt at fairness on the other hand would be demonstrated by starting with an increase to the existing program and examining what additional support would benefit those in areas not served by transit.
But as with Christy’s stated excuse for not addressing inequities in MSP premiums, that would be hard.

Especially egregious IMHO was Mr. de Jong's original grandstanding announcement that was designed to pump up the increase as $77 per month for PR purposes while the backdoor clawback was, essentially, hidden from view.
The cynicism of this entire thing, and the continuing efforts of the flack-hackery to justify it, is astounding to me given its complete moral bankruptcy.

these people, the b.c. lieberals, are as you say morally bankrupt and intellectually empty.
The b.c. lieberls do not care about the disabled in this province nor children. For the bc lieberals to act as if they are doing something good is delusional. As they used to say, you can full some of the people all of the time but you can't fool all the people all of the time

In terms of the wizards and patrons, I think you are absolutely right.
However, I wonder if some folks inside the tent were just as bamboozled as the press were (at least initially) when all the fanfare was made about how much was being done when it really wasn't.
