The Keef Report...Stand-Up Press Gallery Guy.
Sure glad to hear that Mr. Baldrey did that then and, it would appear, is doing it now for the good Mr. Levant and his most collegial colleagues.
But...
I, for one, do not remember Mr. Baldrey and his colleagues making a fuss when a local group of proMedia types that constituted a thing called the 'Supreme Court Media Accrediation Committee' refused to give a blogger/citizen journalist named Robin Mathews press credentials so that he could do crazy stuff like take a tape recorder to the Railgate courtroom to ensure an accurate transcription of the events there.
Instead, I seem to clearly recall Mr. Baldrey kibbtzing with a fellow Lotuslandian proMedia member on the (even then notso) Giant '98 about how bloggers covering Railgate were cultists.
Imagine that!
_______
Interestingly, if you click on through to the thread below Mr. Baldrey's tweet you will get to see him kibbitz once again with his partner in cult accusations from days gone by.
And just who, exactly, constituted the 'Committee' refered to above?...Well, click on through to BC Mary's wonderful archive for a gander to 'Get Smart(er)!' with passel of fine folks, including one who is most definitely no longer a kid in the hall.

“only an idiot would be building a very expensive project in Canada instead of buying power on the open market.”
Candidates who are approved for media accreditation by the Accreditation Committee are required to review the Courts’ Policy on the Use of Electronic Devices in Courtrooms, and sign an Undertaking to adhere to its terms.
Members of accredited media will be issued photo ID cards to be worn in the courtroom.

And
... accredited media may use electronic devices to audio record a proceeding for the sole purpose of verifying their notes and for no other purpose ...

Wearing of ID cards must be new.
During the BC Rail Trial the journalists never wore an ID card but did tape record ... for the sole purpose of verifying their notes ... with one exception... Keith Fraser and Mulgrew were sharing tapes. The Province Editors too.
Fraser was present, Mulgrew was at another Court Room, or on an extended lunch break.
Mulgrew showed up later, but published the court proceedings as though he was there the whole time; Fraser didn't publish at all.
The intent is for the tape recorder is there to confirm the note taking is correct.
Thanks NVG--
And, if I remember correctly, isn't that also why Robin wanted a tape recorder also?

Mr. Ross K....Robin Mathews and I talked about this very issue(accreditation, eer, I mean the denial of accreditation)
I had Robin Mathews and his wife Ester over for lunch this this last Sunday...
I cooked everything from scratch..
Fresh made coffee...Breaded oysters for a appetizer... a monster salad(romaine, sweet chilli peppers, shredded carrots, shallots, green onion, tomatoes, anchovies, apple cider vinegar grapeseed oil dressing...Lunch was baked ham in a maple syrup pineapple glaze.....
White potatoes, asparagus swimming in my famous five cheese sauce...
Dessert was a ....Fresh mango peach coconut crumble made from scratch and baked to perfection...
I sent Mr. Robin Mathews your posting Ross K...
Cheers
Oh....And lots of political talk...Between Robin and myself, with all you fellow citizen bloggers and scribers on our side...We can save the world...Well, maybe we can repair British Columbia..
Cheers
