The Kind Of Thing We Used To Do...


...Before there was a Martin Luther King Day:

Vancouver (CP) - The 60,000-man west coast longshoremen's union in Canada and the United States agreed Thursday not to handle any goods from Alabama.

The boycott will not end until the Negro in Alabama obtains his constitutional right to vote, declared delegates at the International Longshoremen's and Warehouseman's Union convention....

Which, of course, was fully one year after The Beatles came to America for the first time.
