Rob Shaw has an excellent piece up that's all over Postmedia about John Doyle's response to how he has been jerked around the last couple of weeks.
I'll be back for more analysis later (sorry, cells are spinning)...but the part below is very, very important regarding what we described as the chair's obvious conflict of interest (despite the COI commissioner's ruling) last week.
From Mr. Shaw's piece:
....Doyle had harsh words for the entire selection process.
"I think it's an awful process in that I don't think that the committee knew what they were doing," he said.
Doyle also chastised the chairman of the committee seeking to replace him, (BC)Liberal (Party) MLA Eric Foster.
"I do have a concern about the independence of the chair," Doyle said.
Part of those concerns stem from the fact that Foster had been singled out by Doyle for criticisms in a recent audit related to questionable expenses in Foster's constituency office and a possible conflict of interest.
But Doyle said he's also concerned about "something that happened in the interview process," and suggested he might have more to say about Foster's conduct after future thought.
..
Why important?
Because this demonstrates that the entire thing is a ridiculous sham and that the Clark government cannot do even the most basic bit of governing properly.
Which is very disturbing because basic governance, wherein you ensure that there is not even the potential for conflict of interest when you are making important decisions, is not rocket science....
Or Bollywood.
Which, come to think of it, likely explains quite a lot.
OK?
