Three Billion Dollar Ice Bomb Bridge Revisited...The Bateman/Bonney/Boomerang?

AllTheDiversionsThatFit
SouthOfTheFraserVille

Seems that a whole lotta trucks have left the Port Mann behind and are instead rumbling over the Patullo.

CKNW's Marcella Bernardo has the story:

The Mayor of Surrey is again raising concerns about the impact of tolling the Port Mann bridge on other crossings in her city.

Dianne Watts says early numbers are not good.

"The numbers that I got from the BC Trucking Association, they've monitored about a 25 per cent diversion onto the Pattullo Bridge which again is problematic because again it is coming through Surrey and through New Westminster and going that way."...

Hmmmm....

Wonder how much regular traffic is diverting itself to avoid the Ice-Bomb Bridge Toll?

______
Wondering about that Triple-B'd header?...This ought to jog your memory (and/or get you rubbing your 'turf toe).

I tried to do some research on the net pertaining to traffic volume history across the Port Mann and Pattullo bridges or anywhere in Metro Vancouver for that matter. Statistics available are scant and indeterminable in my searches. Considering billions of public dollars have been spent on infrastructure it comes as a surprise..on the lack of data available but then again we're thinking this government might operate with any semblance of competence.

Of course, it is entirely possible that the 'oral government' doctrine has made it all the way down to the folks standing by the side of the road (or in front of screens showing the images from traffic cams) such who are counting cars and not keeping any record of those counts whatsoever lest you submit an FOIR looking for said irretrievable numbers....

Hmmmm... was it three or four or SEVEN persons hired to run the Ethnic-gate scandal.

LindedIn has Brian Bonney saying this about his... capabilities, and specifically what his responsibilities were. All of which means, here, is that he didn't get the MEMO on Write nothing, Shred everything...

Plus: Being that Brian Bonney wouldn't lie about his participation, on LinkedIN... which means that Christy has LIED about .......

Be interesting to see how far traffic on the Golden Ears has dropped since tolling started on the Port Mann; especially given that we are on the hock to the private contractor for insufficient demand. Anecdotally, I've noticed a massive increase on the Mary Hill Bypass. Prior to the tolls on the Port Mann, the Bypass at 6:00 a.m. would have little to no backup on a regular day. Now it is nearly back to the pedestrian overpass by 6:00. About 2-3 kms.
