In which an un-bylined Province 'Staff Reporter' rewrites Jas Johal's copy.
And I thought the HuffPo was bad.
Now....
If this selling of all the land thing is for real there is likely, as Chris Montgomery speculated (see comments here), a 'bundling' component to it.
Which means that the First Nations may be part of the play. In fact, there is actually a whiff of that in the original Johal/Meiszner story as well as the Province's (allegedly) purloined piece.
Which might sound crazy given the rumours that the Harperlandians keep a copy of the Flanagan Rules on their bedside tables at all times.
But the thing is, making First Nations an offer they can't refuse to facilitate a billion dollar condo-jacking has happened in Lotusland before.
In fact it is happening right now.
OK?

I'll have more on the cutting out of Pacific Spirit Park's heart up soon....Why?....Because it looks to me like they are getting ready to unleash the bulldozers (or at the very least, the surveyors)...Gosh...Wonder what the big hurry is.

I am struggling to maintain political correctness and most definitely struggling with effective use of metaphors. Events like this are very troubling and I get conflicting messages. Money trumps all? Those of us born here (or even recently moved for that matter) are not worthy of any recognition whatsoever with regard to being good stewards of the lands we are part of? This was penned during discussion about IPP's. With a bit of an addendum it would apply to dismantling what little natural landscape we have left to cherish in urban Vancouver. "Foreign corporations are treating our rivers like whiskey, with the beads of financial consideration far too few for the gamble associated with billboards of industrialization attacking the circle of our last unprotected fjords". Foreign corporations or current federal and provincial governments....not much difference. As a boater, this doesn't even address the folly of elinminating the CCG station.
I thought that the governmentS settled with the first nations over the mouth of Coal Harbour. My memory is dim, but sometime in the last (say) 5 years there was an agreement over the planetarium lands and the surrounding area there.
Is this ringing any bells out there? Anybody else remember something about this?
Harper was Policy Chief for his, Northern Foundation Party on 1989. That seems where his abusive dictatorship stems from.
Harper is giving Canada to Communist China. China sued in BC, to take the mining jobs. Harper is willing to sell this entire country out. So, Harper selling off the busiest Search and Rescue in Canada, is no surprise to me. After all, that's what his good buddy Gordon Campbell did too. He too thieved and sold everything out of BC, he got his dirty hands on. Campbell also twice lied and cheated to win his elections as well.
We also know. Christy works for Harper, as Campbell did before her.
The smartest thing for BC to do is to, get the hell out of Harper's Canada. However, we won't. Canadians are known to, sleep through absolutely everything. Harper counts on it.
Harper shutting down the busiest Search and Rescue in Canada? Is so stupid and bizarre? There has to be money in that stupidity, for some corrupt venture? I wonder if Christy plays any part in this corrupt sale? Same as Campbell selling off, the priceless Real Estate, that went with his, theft and corrupt sale of the BCR.
